Assistant Manager - Padel Club

£28-32k without coaching experience

Our client is a rapidly expanding Padel brand. We are now looking for a hands-on, people-focused Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the facility. You will ensure exceptional service delivery, premium player experiences, operational efficiency, and a safe, well-maintained environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong organisational skills, operational awareness, a passion for community-building, and a diverse background. We are looking for someone who could have a background in Food & Beverage (F&B), sports management, fitness management, or gym management. A background in Padel/ Racquets management and/ or coaching or as a player is highly desirable.

Some of the key responsibilities of this exciting role:
- Act as the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Handle customer enquiries, bookings, and any issues professionally
- Lead and take ownership of the clubhouse, retail, and F&B operations (including leading on health & safety and compliance for this department)
- Assist in scheduling staff rotas and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Resolve booking app enquiries
- Lead, organise, and run tournaments, social events, and corporate bookings.
- Coordinate and manage events to foster club community and culture.
A bit about you:
Background: Experience in sporting environments (sports management, fitness, or gym management) and/or a customer-facing hospitality background (strongly desirable for leading our F&B and clubhouse operations).

Sporting Ability: High-standard racquet skills (e.g., tennis or padel) with the ability to deliver group and individual sessions is highly desirable
Event Coordination: Proven experience in event coordination and management.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage authentically with customers.
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
