Assistant Manager – Sherdley Court, Prescot (L35 4PD)
About the Role
We are inviting applications for an Assistant Manager to join Making Space at Sherdley Court, a care home in Prescot. This is a 30-hour per week position on a 6-month fixed term contract, with potential for extension.

As the Assistant Manager, your core responsibility will be to drive operational excellence—ensuring high standards of care for residents, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and joining the day shift rota as required to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure top-notch care for residents
- Maintain safety standards and uphold a welcoming atmosphere in the home
- Support the rotating shift rota as required to provide person-centred support
- Promote a community of shared values and mentor the care team
- Drive continuous improvement for resident well-being and staff engagement

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, or a commitment to completing this qualification
- Proven experience in a care environment, demonstrating a person-centred approach
