Overview
This leadership role is perfect for a passionate hospitality professional eager to inspire team members, deliver exceptional customer experience, and ensure smooth daily operation.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for working in tandem with the Director, overseeing day-to-day operations of The DAM Shop, including retail, barista, bar service, food truck, pizza & prep operations. This role ensures exceptional guest experience; efficient operations and a positive team culture aligned with The DAM Shop’s brand and values.
This role is a hybrid FOH & BOH leadership role.
Enthusiasm and a proactive approach will help create a memorable experience for our guests while fostering a positive, efficient workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across the barista area, bar, kitchen, & retail spaces
- Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and service quality
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations
- Assist with social media and marketing efforts including content creation.

Bar & Beverage Program
- Collaborate on product launches, tap rotations, menu development, tasting events, staff education & continuous development.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls for beer, wine, and other beverages.
Kitchen Oversight
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service
- Work with the Director to maintain food cost, inventory, vendor relationships, and menu updates
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
Staff Leadership & Development
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and manage staff across all departments
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
Customer Experience
- Ensure a welcoming, high-quality guest experience at all times
- Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain strong brand presence and community engagement
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of management experience in hospitality (brewery, bar, or restaurant preferred)
- Strong knowledge of back of house operations
- Experience managing multi-department operations
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
