Assistant Meetings & Events Operations Manager
Location: Avon Gorge, Bristol
Contract: Permanent
Rate of Pay: OTE of up to £13.70 per hour (includes Tronc and Retention Bonus)
About the Role
From intimate meetings for six guests to 100-cover weddings, your role is critical to making every moment special—you create unforgettable memories.
As Assistant Meetings & Events Operations Manager, you’ll be:
- On the front line, ensuring everything runs flawlessly
- Leading your team to deliver flawless service and immaculate room setups
- Ensuring guests feel exceptional from arrival to departure
This isn’t an office-based role. It’s hands-on, fast-paced, and demands genuine passion for delivering exceptional live events.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Take charge of event spaces—ensure they’re staged perfectly and served impeccably throughout the day.
- Guest Experience: Be the welcoming face for all attendees; cultivate strong relationships to boost repeat bookings.
- Team Coordination: Lead setup, service execution, and smooth clearance at events.
- Quality Control: Ensure every detail aligns with brand standards.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Front Office Manager and Bar & Bistro Manager.
- Duty Coverage: As required, manage Duty Manager responsibilities.
- Guest Advocacy: Go the extra mile to leave a lasting positive impression on attendees.
