Established in 1994, The Fragrance Shop is the UK’s leading independent fragrance retailer. Our aim is to make mainstream and luxury fragrances affordable and accessible to all. We showcase more than 130 fragrance brands in over 220 stores throughout the UK and online at www.thefragranceshop.co.uk. We are expanding and are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join the team and be part of a growing and vibrant brand.

About the role:
This is a commercially focused Assistant Merchandiser role to support the Merchandising team in managing key supplier brands. You will work closely with the Merchandising team, Buying team, Account Managers and external brand partners.
You will be responsible for supporting the Merchandising team with reporting, forecasting, stock and availability, while also acting as a strategic commercial partner to brands.
This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser who enjoys combining analytical rigour with commercial decision-making and brand collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work alongside the Merchandising team to support in building relationships for supplier accounts, collaborating with brands and Account Managers to align forecasts, stock, ranging and commercial priorities.
- Alongside Merchandising team, support with supplier forecasts, replenishment, newness buys, stockholding, ranging and availability.
- Reviewing promotional performance and NPD performance with the Buying team.
- Reacting to sales and changes in the market, ensuring sales are maximised and KPIs are met.
- Support in quarterly range reviews.

What you’ll bring:
Essential:
- Currently working at Assistant Merchandiser level.
- Analytically minded and commercially aware.
- Excellent communication skills, highly organised with strong Excel ability.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and managing a busy workload.
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience within a fast-paced Beauty/Retail/FMCG environment.
- Experience managing a large store estate.
