About the Role The Assistant Merchandiser supports the Merchandising team in driving sales and profitability across the Jewellery category through effective planning, trading, and performance analysis. Working closely with the Merchandiser and Buyer, the role focuses on sales, margin, pricing, and stock performance across stores, ecommerce, and international markets. This is a commercially driven head office role within a fast-paced, product-led environment, requiring strong analytical capability and a clear understanding of retail trading, stock management, and category performance.
Key Responsibilities • Support the Merchandiser and Buyer in developing and maintaining commercially successful Jewellery ranges aligned to brand and customer requirements • Assist with weekly, seasonal, and annual sales, margin, and stock planning by category, channel, and market • Produce accurate weekly trade reporting, analysing sales, margin, AOV, conversion, and demand trends, identifying risks and opportunities • Monitor in-season trading performance and support actions including pricing, promotions, and range optimisation • Maintain accurate product, pricing, and margin data to support forecasting and decision- making • Support category, market, and customer analysis to identify growth opportunities and underperforming lines • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support wider merchandising and business requirements • Work cross-functionally with Buying, Ecommerce, Retail, Marketing, and Finance teams

Requirements • Previous experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandising Admin role, preferably within jewellery, luxury, fashion, or accessories • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail • Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of trading, performance optimisation, and stock management • Demonstrated experience working with sales and margin data and producing weekly trade reports reports with clear insight and accuracy • Experience collaborating cross-functionally across multiple departments, including Buying, Merchandising and wider commercial teams • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insight clearly and effectively • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, fast-paced head office environment • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data and merchandising systems • Ability to operate in a commercially driven environment with a strong understanding of retail performance drivers
