Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser

Location: London, office-based · Full-time

Reports to: Head of Merchandising

Overview

This role supports the Head of Merchandising in driving the accuracy and commercial performance of Hunza G's trading, forecasting and stock planning. The Assistant Merchandiser is detail-oriented and numbers-focused, confident in Excel, and will play a key role in driving forward how AI is used across forecasting and planning — a genuine priority for the business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support trading across ecommerce, stores and wholesale, in the UK and internationally
  • Build and maintain WSSI, sales forecasts and line cards for core and carryover lines, using these to recommend rebuys
  • Use AI to strengthen forecasting and planning, helping to trial and embed new tools across the team
  • Assist the Head of Merchandising with weekly and monthly trade reporting, tracking sales, stock cover and ATS against plan
  • Manage currency and international pricing, ensuring accurate price translation across overseas markets
  • Keep product and stock data accurate across Shopify, NetSuite and internal trade files
  • Carry out regular competitor shopping and price benchmarking to inform range and pricing decisions
  • Work closely with Design, Production and Ecommerce to ensure trading and stock data supports wider business decisions, keeping teams informed of changes as they happen

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years' experience in a merchandising or planning role
  • Strong analytical mindset with a structured, data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Advanced Excel capability — confident building trackers and reports from scratch
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a rigorous approach to data accuracy across all outputs
  • Comfortable working across multiple channels (ecommerce, stores and wholesale) and international markets
  • Genuinely enthusiastic about AI, with ideas for how it could be used in forecasting and planning
