Assistant Modeller (Building Structures)

Context
The Assistant Modeller will work with a team of other modellers and engineers producing & delivering the design of allocated Projects as instructed.

Missions/Main Duties
- Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self-checking, with minimum input by others
- Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality
- Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made
- Understand the relationship between hours worked and project cost, budgets and commercial pressures
- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with SYSTRA’s behavioural framework by actively fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, respect and empowerment, contributing to an environment where all colleagues can thrive, achieve and grow together

Profile/Skills
- Experience of taking buildings up to construction stage.
- Knowledge and application of BIM levels 0-2, level 3 an advantage.
- Experience of Revit or 3D MicroStation essential, experience of AutoCAD and Open Buildings Designer advantageous but not essential.
- Awareness of design standards for example Eurocodes, British Standards, UK Building Regulations.
- Awareness of the CDM Regulations 2015, Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Ability to develop drawings in accordance with appropriate client and project requirements.
- Liaison and coordination with construction teams to ensure designs are buildable.
