# Assistant Night Manager The Medlock, Etihad Campus, Manchester
Position Overview
Salary: £37,000 per annum
At The Medlock, a Radisson Blu hotel opening at the heart of Manchester’s Etihad Campus, we’re revolutionising city-centre hospitality. As the Assistant Night Manager, you’ll support overnight operations at this newly opened 401-key hotel, ensuring seamless, secure, and personalised guest experiences even as the city sleeps.
Located within Etihad Campus—home to Manchester City Football Club and a new hub for sport, entertainment, and culture—this role will allow you to play a key part in delivering an unforgettable stay, fostering warmth and passion in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Principle Accountabilities
- Support the Night Manager in leading a high-performing overnight team, ensuring smooth, safe, and consistent operations.
- Oversee guest services outside peak hours, including:
- Handling late arrivals, early departures, and overnight requests with efficiency and care.
- Resolving guest queries with confidence, professionalism, and a personal touch.
- Guiding staff in delivering Medlock standards—bringing structure, reassurance, and pride to the team.
- Maintain a calm, welcoming presence across the hotel, ensuring every guest feels valued, no matter the time of day.
- Champion the enhancing hotel culture and experience, extending our Manchester-based personality to overnight operations.
Team & Leadership Focus
- Foster a productive, inclusive team spirit, celebrating individuality and building confidence.
- Lead by example—communicating clearly, remaining composed under pressure, and embodying the Medlock ethos.
- Champion engagement and excellence, ensuring high standards across all night operations.

Experience Required
- Previous experience in hotel customer service, preferably in an Assistant Night Manager or similar role.
- Experience in a premium, design-led, or lifestyle-orientated property (a plus, but not essential if paired with the right teamwork mind-set).
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities.
