Join Our Team as a Deputy Nursery Manager!

Are you ready to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on children’s lives? At Wylde Green, we’re seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional care and education. Step into a leadership role where you’ll mentor, guide, and create brighter futures for children, families, and your team.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous leadership experience within a Nursery setting. This role will require opening and locking up the nursery in turn with the Nursery Manager.

Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

What Being a Deputy Nursery Manager Involves

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:

  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.

About Our Nursery

Our Wylde Green Day Nursery is nestled in the heart of Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Our nursery exudes a warm, community spirit, focusing on teaching children valuable lessons about themselves and the world around them. Our spacious open plan nursery means you will be working with a mix of ages from 1-5. Wylde Green nursery is situated just off the A452 Chester Road and only a 3-minute walk from Chester Road train station. The nursery has a small car park outside and ample parking on the adjoining roads. We are located directly opposite Wylde Green Primary School.
