Are you ready to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on children’s lives? At St Neots Nursery, we’re seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support our team in delivering exceptional care and education. Step into a leadership role where you’ll mentor, guide, and create brighter futures for children, families, and your team.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification.

Pay: £33,072 - £33,072 per Annum, based on experience (40 hours per week). £15.90 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

What Being a Deputy Nursery Manager Involves
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:
- Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
- Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
- Monitor and guide the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.
About Our Nursery
At our St Neots children’s day nursery, we follow the Montessori approach in a home-from-home environment. The children in our care learn through play, and the passionate team at our Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ nursery offer children a variety of activities and learning opportunities every day related to their individual interests, ensuring no two days are ever the same. We are situated on the site of Longsands College, around the back of the school, and are best accessed via Kings Road. We are just a few minutes walk from the train station, where trains run every 30 minutes to Kings Cross, London. The A1 and the A428 are nearby, with bus routes into Cambridge, making us easily accessible for commuters. Our pre-school is only a short walk away and parking is available on both sites.
