Assistant Centre Director – Early Years Leadership Role at Busy Bees Leeds, Guiseley

About the Role

You will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre Director to oversee day-to-day operations at Busy Bees Leeds, Guiseley, an Outstanding (Ofsted) nursery with a focus on curriculum-driven learning and team development. Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Support the Centre Director in managing day-to-day facility and staff operations, ensuring high educational and health standards.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in developing action plans to deliver an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early-years best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep the nursery up to date with Ofsted requirements and safety protocols, avoiding risks.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Family Engagement: Enhance customer satisfaction by prioritising exceptional care and transparent communication.
  • Overall Centre Support: Handle administrative tasks (scheduling, payroll, staff recruitment), maintain records, and support financial planning.

Ideal Candidate

We’re seeking a proactive leader with: 🔹 A valid Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification (e.g., EYECD, Diploma in EYS). 🔹 Proven experience in an early-years setting, ideally with Assistant/Deputy Nursery Manager duties. 🔹 A track record of excelling in curriculum delivery and stimulating children’s learning. 🔹 Strong people skills – outstanding teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution. 🔹 An understanding of child safeguarding protocols and health & safety compliance.
