Assistant Centre Director - Early Childhood Leadership Role
At Busy Bees, the UK’s leading nursery group, we’re seeking a passionate Assistant Centre Director to support our Centre Director in driving day-to-day operations while delivering exceptional early years education. Nestled in a vibrant East London setting, our Chiswick campus serves 110 young learners with:

Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Centre Director, your impact will be central:
- Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Centre Director to ensure high standards in education, safety, and compliance.
- Develop a curriculum framework that fosters creativity, diversity, and EYFS alignment.

Staff Support
- Guide and mentor teachers/key workers
- Ensure a positive, efficient team culture with clear lines of communication

Regulatory Excellence
- Maintain records to meet Ofsted and staffing qualification standards.
- Prioritise health and safety policies like fire drills, allergy management, and first aid practices.

Engagement & Growth
- Strengthen and enhance the parent-centred experience, addressing families’ needs with empathy.
- Conduct staff reviews and goal-setting sessions to fuel operational success.

Operational Support
- Handle payroll and scheduling tasks efficiently.
- Aid financial oversight, including budgeting and resource planning.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
We seek individuals who are dedicated to early-year impact with proven experience:
- Qualification: Nationally recognised or approved Level 3 qualification in early years management (or equivalent).
- Tiered Leadership: Proven experience as Assistant Manager, Deputy, or Nursery Lead in Ofsted-relevant settings.
- Service Mindset: Ability to mentor, comply with regulations, and uphold child protection standards.
Technical Requirements
- Willingness to operate and follow Ofsted “Good” standards
- Accუმetrie-KC skills-based evaluations for growth and career visibility
