About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Planner to join our regional construction team in Scotland, enabling better project execution, collaboration, and stakeholder support. As a key member of our construction delivery team, you’ll work closely with our Senior Planner to maintain project oversight, ensure construction programmes remain adaptable across different project phases, and leverage your expertise to support a region-wide portfolio of activity.

  • Conduct project monitoring for multiple construction projects within the Scottish region, backing up the Senior Planner's activities
  • Develop and maintain look-ahead programmes tailored to specific trade packages and track ongoing progress
  • Support project teams in software skills (including Asta, Primavera, or MS Project) while delivering high-potential programme updates
  • Forecast slippages and assess the commercial impact on design-specific obligations by liaising with trade partners and senior planners
  • Lead and assist in producing accurate, high-quality progress reporting, driving operational planning excellence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
