Provide planning support to both the pre-contract and delivery teams in accordance with Company policy, procedures, and quality standards.
About the role
Tender Stage:
- Assist the planner / senior planner with production of the tender programme
- Assist the planner / senior planner with production of the tender deliverables as required
Construction / Delivery Stage:
- Capture and input ‘actual data’ to the current programme of site works, as directed by senior planner / planner / project manager
- Assist with production of the monthly and period updated programme, progress reports, and revised forecasts and its communication to the site team, client, and all major stakeholders
- Provide planning support to assist the project in order to enable the team to monitor pinch-points on the critical path and test logic where previously agreed to either improve upon the baseline programme or to mitigate potential delays
- Assist in the production of reports and programme commentary
- Produce reports and / or extract filters as required by the project team, including indication of deviation from the baseline programme
- Attend progress meetings with internal customers
- Ensure planning processes are followed on all projects
- Assist with the production of tender deliverables as required (agreed at initial tender kick off meeting)
- Assist and support operations staff in the production of tender method statements and ensure that tender programme reflects agreed methods
- Attend all tender meetings as required and assist in the preparation of bid submission documents

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

- Educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline
- Business and commercial awareness to actively measure and monitor performance with the ability to present results in a logical manner to support continuous improvement
- Some site experience on business related projects in a management or supervisory capacity
- Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and produce it in a clear and logical format
- Some supervision skills
- Ability to manage a given list of tasks
- Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team
- Some knowledge of construction practices and standards within their subject
- Good writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to handle situations and problems
- Know when to ask for help and guidance
