If you have (or shortly expect to have) a degree in Town Planning, Geography or a related field and are a motivated self-starter looking for an excellent grounding in planning policy and town planning, we would like to hear from you.

Broxbourne Council’s current Local Plan has generated many exciting development projects across the Borough but is now over five years old and is due for a review. The next update to the Local Plan will identify locations for a range of developments, including for housing, employment and other land uses. Now is an excellent time to join the team and play a key role in this important work.

Broxbourne is located on the northern edge of London and is only 30 minutes from London Liverpool Street Station by train. The Lee Valley Regional Park and high-quality Green Belt together with intense pressure for development means that the challenge of finding suitable locations for growth is considerable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
