Assistant Practice Manager
Assistant Practice Manager – A J Moore & Associates (Long Eaton)
We’re looking for the next Assistant Practice Manager to join our friendly, experienced team. An ideal opportunity for a GDC-registered professional looking to progress from a Dental Nurse or Lead Nurse role—reporting directly to the Business Manager in a supportive, growth-oriented clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
This crucial operational role will support the Business Manager across:
Team Leadership & Development
- Rota planning and absence management
- Conducting one-to-one meetings, team appraisals, and performance reviews
- Driving team development opportunities (training, mentorship, career progression)
- Team meetings: Chairing and ensuring constructive dialogue
Regulatory & Compliance Standards
- Coordinating audits, clinical checks, and GDC team registrations
- Overseeing certified training records and continuing professional development
Operational Excellence
- Managing Google reviews, complaint escalation, and patient feedback processes
- Developing and maintaining marketing initiatives while supporting recruitment efforts
- Ensuring practice compliance and streamlined day-to-day operations

About You
You’ll be the perfect fit if you’ve got:
- A background in healthcare, retail, hospitality, or an equivalent service-focused role
- Proven experience leading teams and/or working as a senior dental clinician (e.g., Lead Nurse)
- A passion for excellent customer service—both clinical and administrative
- Experience in driving operational efficiency: holding teams accountable for performance, managing infection control audits, equipment maintenance, and process improvements
- Problem-solving skills—turning challenges into growth opportunities
