Assistant Practice Manager / Clerk
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus benefits
Location: 10 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A 3BP
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

1GC is one of the country's leading family law chambers, recognised for excellence across every area of family law. Our team of 22 employees supports over 100 barristers, including 15 King's Counsel, from our modern offices overlooking Lincoln's Inn Fields.
As Chambers continues to grow, we are looking for an Assistant Practice Manager / Clerk to join our experienced and friendly clerking team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with clerking experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a highly regarded set of chambers where no two days are ever the same.

The Role
Working closely with our Practice Managers and senior clerking team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day management of members' practices. You'll assist with diary management, court listings, client enquiries, case administration and practice development, helping to ensure our barristers and professional clients receive an exceptional service.
This is a varied, fast-paced role that would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working collaboratively in a professional environment.
About You
You'll have:
- At least two years' experience working within barristers' chambers or a similar legal environment.
- A good working knowledge of family law procedures and the court system.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive, client-focused approach and good commercial awareness.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365.
