We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our evolving Special Care Baby Unit at Glangwili General Hospital.

Our unit provides:

  • Short-term intensive care
  • High dependency care
  • Special care for neonates
  • A strong focus on evidence-based practice and family-centred care
  • Recent developments include a dedicated 4-cot Transitional Care Unit and a Neonatal Outreach Service supporting families in the community.

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Practitioner to join our friendly, skilled team. You will work across a day/night rotation, delivering direct care, supporting junior staff and student nurses, and ensuring safe, comprehensive handovers.

Your Aim in This Role

To provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to neonates, supporting families and contributing to junior staff development—while upholding the highest clinical practice and professional integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct care delivery to neonates, including:
    • Monitoring and recording vital signs
    • Performing blood sampling

    • Ensuring continuity of 24-hour care across all shifts

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
