Assistant Pre Contracts Manager
Pre-Construction Coordinator
Location: Office-based with regular site visits (primarily London) Type: Full-Time
Are you looking to take the next step in your pre-construction career?
We're seeking a proactive and organised Pre-Construction Coordinator to join a growing team specialising in delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or pre-construction, looking to develop technical, commercial, and client-facing skills in a collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will revolve around supporting the pre-construction process from initial enquiry to project handover, working closely with experienced professionals and laying the foundation for a progression into a Pre-Construction Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Producing cost plans and estimates using standard templates
- Conducting site surveys and quantity take-offs
- Coordinating subcontractor enquiries and reviewing quotations
- Assisting with feasibility studies, buildability reviews, and project risk assessments
- Preparing license approval documentation and coordinating stakeholder submissions
- Developing and maintaining pre-construction programmes
- Supporting client presentations and tender submissions
- Coordinating project handovers to delivery teams
- Building strong working relationships with:
- Clients
- Consultants
- Subcontractors
- Internal teams

Requirements
Essential
- Experience in a pre-construction, estimating, or quantity surveying role within construction or commercial fit-out
- Ability to produce cost plans and complete quantity take-offs
- Understanding of construction methods and commercial interiors
- Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- (Advantageous) Experience with Bluebeam Revu or Microsoft Project

Desirable
- Degree or equivalent qualification in:
- Quantity Surveying
- Construction Management
- A related discipline
- Experience working with JCT contracts
- Knowledge of landlord approval and license processes
