Overview

The Assistant Pricing Analyst supports the delivery of competitive pricing strategies through the analysis of competitor pricing, product matching, and market intelligence data. Working closely with Pricing Business Partners and Category Teams, the role provides accurate insights and recommendations to inform pricing decisions, monitor market competitiveness, and drive commercial performance.

This role is a 1-year fixed term contract

Key responsibilities

  • Support Pricing Business Partners in managing the pricing index and delivering pricing strategies.
  • Partner with Category Teams to maintain competitive pricing and implement agreed pricing changes.
  • Maintain and enhance the price matching tool through competitor pricing analysis and market intelligence.
  • Validate product matches and perform exception analysis to ensure data accuracy.
  • Develop product knowledge to support the creation and maintenance of product matches.
  • Produce regular reporting on competitor pricing, promotions, and new product launches across the UK, Ireland, and France.
  • Provide ad-hoc pricing analysis and insights to support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Identify data issues, recommend process improvements, and support more efficient ways of working.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A team player who is willing to support colleagues and work collaboratively.
  • Comfortable working with large amounts of data and information.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and question errors.
  • Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Quick to learn new systems and technologies, such as Power BI.
