Assistant Product & Ideation Manager

Assistant Product & Ideation Manager – Soap & Glory Foresight & Ideation

Location: Nottingham, Beeston | Contract: Fixed-term/Secondment – up to 6 months (Full-time, on-site)

Welcome to the Soap & Glory Foresight & Ideation team at Boots! We’re seeking a passionate, visionary Assistant Product & Ideation Manager to drive tomorrow’s breakthrough beauty innovation.


About the Role

You'll play a critical role in shaping our next generation of Soap & Glory NPD (New Product Development) by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Reporting to our Global Product & Ideation Manager and supporting the Global Product Assistant, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and can translate consumer insights into groundbreaking concepts.


Key Responsibilities

-Research trends, consumer insights, and cultural signals to identify product opportunities and develop compelling product territories.

-Develop persuasive briefs and emotionally resonant brand narratives to inspire cross-functional teams.

-Work closely with fragrance, formulation, packaging, and design partners, progressing ideas through development.

-Champion cross-functional alignment, ensuring projects stay on track and stakeholders have the right resources.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Experience in breathing life into consumer-led concepts and product propositions, bridging insights into strategic opportunities.

  • Ability to craft inspiring brands briefs and emotionally engaging narratives to captivate external and internal audiences.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with suppliers/partners, delivering advanced product/design concepts.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, thriving in dynamic team environments.

  • Commercial acumen to evaluate concepts and turn innovative ideas into scalable business opportunities.


Nice-to-Haves

  • A genuine love for beauty, bodycare, skincare, or colour cosmetics.
  • Prior experience in fitness-specific product development or beauty innovation (Bath & Body, etc.).
