Employment: Permanent

Location: UK-Based, flexible (remote/hybrid). North West England would be preferable.

Salary: Excellent basic salary depending on experience.

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Assistant Product Manager to join our Software team. This is a role for someone who is ready to step up:

  • A recent graduate or early-career professional
  • Someone who has demonstrated the ability to lead, communicate with clarity, bring creative thinking to real delivery challenges

You will be the glue that holds innovation teams together:

  • Running sprint ceremonies
  • Facilitating workshops
  • Eliciting and translating requirements
  • Maintaining roadmaps
  • Keeping multiple stakeholders aligned

This is enablement for our delivery teams and partner teams, ensuring they can better support their customers.

While you do not need to arrive with every skill already mastered, we are looking for:

  • Someone who is intuitive and open to broadening their learning
  • A candidate who enjoys building relationships, takes the initiative

Responsibilities


Requirements

Essential:

  • A degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Software Engineering
    • Information Systems
    • or a closely related technical or design discipline, such as Psychology
  • A valid UK driving license
  • Demonstratable experience of working in an Agile methodology environment (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience of working with products, being part of a project, or conducting business analysis through internships, placements, or professional roles
  • A team player who is comfortable leading when required
  • A grade of 2:1 in a related degree, or a 2:2 if exceptional evidence is provided

Desired:

  • 1 or 2 years’ experience in Product Management (if lacking, evidence of applying learning beyond the classroom is justified)
  • Understanding of Agile initiatives (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) would be beneficial but isn’t required
