The Role

This role provides essential support in delivering product marketing plans by coordinating project activities, tracking performance, and contributing insights and analysis. The role enables the team to successfully launch, grow, and optimize products in line with business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Track the 3-year product innovation pipeline status, updates, and project documentation to maintain a clear view of approved initiatives enabling confident pipeline delivery.
  • Collect and summarize market, consumer, and competitor data to build insight packs, supporting the translation of trends into meaningful product executions.
  • Support data gathering on portfolio performance and pricing to inform senior-led portfolio improvement and optimization decisions for profitable growth.
  • Maintain team project trackers, capacity plans, and onboarding documentation to ensure an organized, capable team that can meet business goals.
  • Coordinate sample tracking, testing timings, cost quotes, and supplier submissions to keep formula development and supplier activity running smoothly and on time.
  • Compile consumer needs gaps and track idea concepts through gate processes to support the initiation and innovation opportunities with strong consumer relevance.
  • Prepare gate meeting packs, stakeholder pre-reads, and minutes to enable timely gate approvals and stakeholder alignment, keeping projects moving efficiently.
  • Research new technologies, ingredients, and sourcing options to build a knowledge base that supports future best-in-class product opportunities.
  • Monitor product performance and support range implication proposals to help deliver fewer, bigger, better portfolio choices that drive growth.
  • Update SKU trackers and renovation project documentation to manage product lifecycles appropriately, maintain product freshness, and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate sensory testing panels and track product improvement projects to elevate formal and pack hygiene factors, strengthening consumer perceptions of quality.

Capabilities, Skills, and Experience

  • Experience in marketing, product marketing, or assistant brand management roles, ideally in FMCG or consumer products.
  • Exposure to working with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, supply chain, sales).
  • Experience coordinating projects or supporting product launches.
  • Familiarity with working with suppliers or external agencies.
  • Understanding of marketing processes, innovation funnels, and product lifecycle management.
  • Data analysis and reporting experience (e.g., market data, sales performance).
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Good commercial acumen and understanding of brand principles.
  • Analytical skills to support data-based decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Competence in tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and project tracking systems.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about trends, consumers, and competitor activities.
  • Attention to detail for tracking costs, timelines, and product specifications.
