As part of our Product, Optimisation & Personalisation team, we focus on experimentation and continuous improvement to make digital journeys easier, more personal, and effective for customers and colleagues.
In this Assistant Product Owner role, you’ll support the delivery and optimisation of key digital customer journeys in Currys’ online experience. Your collaboration with Product Owners, Analysts, Designers, and Engineers will translate customer insights and business needs into meaningful experience and performance improvements.
We welcome candidates with experience in retail, ecommerce, digital trading, customer experience, business analysis, or product management, eager to grow within this field.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management and prioritisation of the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with business priorities.
- Define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements to drive effective product delivery.
- Contribute to the optimisation of digital customer journeys to enhance experience, engagement, and commercial success.
- Analyse customer, behavioural, and digital performance data to uncover opportunities for improvement and impact decision-making.
- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, and Analytics teams to deliver experiments and customer-focused solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous product and process improvements.

Essential Requirements
- Experience in retail, ecommerce, digital, customer experience, business analysis, or product frameworks.
- Previous support in digital initiatives, projects, or customer-focused enhancements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and insights for decision-making.
- Understanding of customer journeys and influencing factors in online customer behaviour.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred/Desirable Criteria
- Retail or transactional ecommerce experience.
- Experience with digital customer journeys, online trading, or conversion optimisation.
- Exposure to A/B testing, experimentation, or digital analytics.
- Prior roles such as Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Product Coordinator.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development.
