As an Assistant Product Owner, you’ll support the delivery and optimisation of key digital customer journeys—with a focus on checkout, payments, and conversion. Working closely with Product Owners, Analysts, Designers, and Engineers, you’ll help translate customer insights and business needs into improvements that enhance customer experience and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the management and prioritisation of the product backlog, ensuring requirements and tasks are clearly defined and aligned with business priorities.
- Defining and documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements to support seamless product delivery.
- Supporting optimisation of checkout and payment journeys to improve:
- Customer experience
- Conversion rates
- Commercial performance
- Analysing customer, transaction, and digital performance data to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
- Collaborating with:
- Product, Engineering, Design, and Analytics teams
- Delivering product enhancements, experiments, and customer-focused solutions.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to the continuous improvement of:
- Digital products
- Operational processes
- Customer journeys
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a role related to payments, fraud analysis, business analysis, eCommerce, digital product management, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience in gathering and documenting requirements while supporting business or technology initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A customer-centric mindset and a passion for continuous improvement of digital experiences.

Desirable (but not mandatory)
- Direct experience working with payment products, gateways, or processors.
- Understanding of end-to-end checkout and payment journeys.
- Experience in fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, or risk management.
- Background as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Fraud Analyst, or Product Owner.
- Retail or online experience.
- Exposure to experimentation, optimisation, and conversion rate improvement.
