Assistant Product Technologist

Based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe, Surrey (CR3 0GG), just outside of Croydon.

Hybrid working, 2 days at head office and 3 days working from home, plus flexi core hours.

About the Role

We're growing our Hardgoods Product team! Join an iconic brand that empowers customers, pushes boundaries and creates market-leading pleasure products.

We're looking for an organised and detail-focused Assistant Hardgoods Product Technologist to support the development of safe, compliant and high-quality products. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders you'll coordinate product testing, maintain compliance documentation and support products throughout their journey from concept to launch.

The Role

As an Assistant Hardgoods Product Technologist, you'll report to the Hardgoods Product Technologist and work closely with our Buying, Merchandising and supplier partners. You'll play an important role in ensuring our products are safe, compliant and delivered to the highest quality standards.

  • Supporting the Hardgoods Product Technologist across multiple product categories.
  • Coordinating product testing, compliance and certification activities.
  • Assisting with compliance requirements including UKCA/CE, REACH, RoHS, GPSR and Electrical Safety regulations.
  • Supporting the implementation of compliance and labelling requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate technical files, compliance records and product workbooks.
  • Supporting the product sealing and approval process to ensure technical standards are met and documented.
  • Managing and maintaining product data within internal systems.
  • Tracking technical critical path deadlines and helping ensure products launch on time.
  • Working closely with suppliers to support product quality, consistency and compliance.
  • Assisting with product investigations, quality improvements and issue resolution.
  • Supporting customer queries and sharing feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Building strong relationships with Buying, Merchandising and wider business teams to support successful product delivery.

You'll Be Great If You…

  • Have previous experience as an Assistant Product Technologist or Product Development Administrator, ideally in the electrical, beauty or cosmetic industry.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Strong administration and data management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external suppliers.
  • An interest in product technology, compliance, quality or product development.
  • An affinity with our brand, products and values
