Assistant Project Engineer – Environment
Normanton - South Yorkshire
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try.
You will work on our Yorkshire Water Infra-Structure Framework within our Asset Creation North & East Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes to the Water Industry, across both Clean & Waste schemes.
Ideally, you will based in or around the South Yorkshire area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
What you will be doing:
As an Assistant Project Engineer with Galliford Try, you will work as an integral part of the Pre-Construction Team, assisting with the solution development, design management and documentation, and ensuring consistent standards across all projects.
Our Environment Business has entrepreneurism and innovation at its heart. Part of your role as Assistant Project Engineer will be to share market leading suggestions and ideas with the Project Delivery team to lead the way in optimisation and performance.
Day to day, you will collaborate with other engineers to deliver a safe working site, supporting with compiling and updating plans and works information, identifying any changes and reporting these to the Site Supervisor.
- Conduct early site investigation works in coordination with the client, design and project team.
- Attend and input towards internal and client design reviews.

About You:
As well as a passion for your engineering discipline and logical and critical thinking skills, we are seeking individuals with a relevant engineering qualification in your chosen discipline. Experience in a national and multi-site business or Water Industry experience is desirable, but not essential.
Working on site, you are required to have ECS & EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene), however, we will support you in covering any training needs.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following key attributes;
