As an Assistant Project Manager, for a 12-month secondment, you’ll help shape workforce strategies, support business-critical decisions, and build experience that can accelerate your career in project management and organisational planning.
The Opportunity
As an Assistant Project Manager within EDF EPR Engineering UK, you’ll play an important role in coordinating:
- Workforce planning
- Competency forecasting
- Organisational development activities
Supporting the delivery of Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, your work will help ensure the right skills and resources are in place to support EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain and help *Britain achieve net zero.
You’ll join us on a salary starting at £50,000 per annum. This is a 12-month secondment opportunity based at their #Bristol Aztec West office, with hybrid working arrangements (three days in the office, two flexible to work remotely or at other EDF offices).
You will:
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, including Discipline Managers and business leaders, gaining exposure to strategic workforce planning, organisational transformation, and resource forecasting.
- Play a key role in supporting staffing decisions, developing performance insights, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Who You Are
We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is:
- Organised, analytical, and comfortable managing complex datasets alongside multilevel stakeholders.
- Eligible for Security Vetting, typically requiring residency in the UK for at least three of the past five years.
To be shortlisted, the following must apply:
- Experience in project management, workforce planning, resource planning, or related business support.
- Expertise in managing, analysing, and maintaining large volumes of data with accuracy.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, competency planning, resource forecasting, or budget management processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including report creation, data analysis, and decision-support writing.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
What You’ll Be Doing
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate workforce planning activities, ensuring forecasts, structures, and resource data remain accurate and aligned to business needs.
- Support competency and skills forecasting exercises, including mid- and long-term workforce planning activities.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to consolidate data while supporting resource and staffing decisions.
- Monitor workforce, budget, and performance information, maintaining reporting and tracking tools.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities.
