Assistant Project Manager (12-Month Secondment)

Assistant Project Manager (Workforce Planning) – 12-Month Secondment

About the Role

Join a team where your work directly supports the people, skills, and planning needed to deliver some of the UK’s most significant nuclear projects. At EDF, Success is Personal.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll spend 12 months shaping workforce strategies, supporting business-critical decisions, and building experience to accelerate your career in project management and organisational planning.

The Opportunity

You’ll work within EDF EPR Engineering UK, playing a vital role in coordinating workforce planning, competency forecasting, and organisational development to support the delivery of Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. Your contributions will ensure the right skills and resources are in place to help Britain achieve net zero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Join a 12-month secondment based at our Bristol (Aztec West office) with hybrid working: three days in the office, flexible to work from home or another EDF location
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including Discipline Managers and business leaders
  • Gain exposure to strategic workforce planning, organisational transformation, and resource forecasting
  • Support staffing decisions, develop performance insights, and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with data and stakeholders to ensure efficient workforce alignment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
