Assistant Project Manager
Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

We’re searching for an Assistant Project Manager to contribute to Linxon’s growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have an interest in developing their EPC experience in the substation and transmission industry. You will be expected to support the management of engineering, coordination, and execution of all disciplines for medium-voltage and high-voltage substation projects whilst being mentored by an experienced and passionate project management team.
What will you do?
- Build and develop relationships within the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
- Support and develop leadership skills that will enable you to manage projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimation, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
- To support the coordination of internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
- Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
Other responsibilities
- Develop your understanding of, and help support the project management team, to determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Support the preparation of budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Support the management of contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Experience and competencies
- Keen interest in Electrical Transmission and Civil Construction projects.
- Proven experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience in risk mitigation & opportunity management.
- Understanding of a project lifecycle through development, execution and operation.
- Business mindset to reach the project’s goals & business goals.
- An interest in developing strong leadership and negotiating skills with an excellent ability to resolve issues, lead teams and work constructively to build positive customer relationships.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to develop and manage effective processes
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills combined with ability to deliver practical, effective, and sustainable solutions in a continuously changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with staff at all levels, ability to get the message across in a coherent and clear way and lead projects with great confidence at its most difficult and challenging times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Civil Engineering or Project Management.
- Project Management Certification, or a PMP certification is not mandatory but desired.
