Assistant Project Manager
**Assistant Project Manager (Hinkley Point C) – 5 Days Onsite
📍 Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater (Fully site-based) 💰 Rate: Up to £275/day (PAYE) or £370/day (Umbrella), DOE 📅 Contract: Until December 2026, with a strong likelihood of a further 12-month extension
About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join Hinkley Point C, a major nuclear construction programme. This is an outstanding opportunity to:
- Work alongside experienced Project Managers
- Support the delivery of critical engineering and construction work packages
- Gain exposure to large-scale project delivery, multidisciplinary teams, and industry-leading project management practices
The Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will provide full-cycle support to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, commercial teams, construction, procurement, and project controls to:
- Coordinate activities
- Drive successful project delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Support project and contract work packages from initiation to completion
- Coordinate with:
- Engineering
- Commercial
- Procurement
- Construction
- Project controls teams
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and management information
- Conduct and coordinate meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring:
- Actions are recorded
- Follow-through is maintained
- Support document control and project governance processes
- Maintain accurate, auditable project documentation
- Monitor and report on budgets
- Support supplier engagement and contract administration
- Promote collaborative working across multidisciplinary teams

Requirements
Experience:
- Previous experience supporting projects in:
- Engineering
- Construction
- Infrastructure
- Utilities
- Nuclear (or another highly regulated industry)
Skills & Abilities:

Strong organisational and coordination skills
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

Experience working with:
- Project schedules
- Documentation frameworks
- Reporting systems

(Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.)
