Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager provides support to the Project Manager to facilitate project delivery within the agreed cost and schedule baseline.

Experience of delivery within project environment with previous experience preferred.

About the role:

  • Monitoring and supporting of key project deliverables such as Schedule Milestones, Safety Stats, and support to the contract management process.
  • Facilitate and plan training courses.
  • Assisting in delivery of the projects or project work scope within the baseline.
  • Delivering tasks in a safe manner to the specified functional criteria, goals, and objectives, compliant with appropriate legislation, project execution procedures, and within the approved project baseline, scope, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Developing, maintaining, reporting, and trending an accurate task baseline.
  • Providing accurate and timely information and reports regarding the task status, activities, and performance.
  • Proposing, agreeing, implementing, and reporting corrective actions to secure the task baseline and capture within SHEQ tracker.
  • Early identification of risks/ issues/ concerns that either have the potential or will impact the task baseline.
  • Facilitating in the maintenance of effective integrated project execution plan.
  • Active participation in Safety Improvement Programmes.
  • Create, monitor, and ensure project drumbeat is delivered (this is organizing meetings, actions, and developing LFE information to be used elsewhere).
  • Produce communications to relevant stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

  • Complying with applicable safety, environmental, and quality company procedures, policies, and legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Applying an appropriate level of priority for safety and quality to ensure that Nuclear Safety is not compromised by delivery.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of information shared with Intelligent Customer (IC) and key stakeholders.
  • Maintaining compliance with approved processes, procedures, and PXP’s.
  • Active contribution to LFE and sharing across project stages.
  • Actively supporting the implementation and use of the Project Delivery Fundamentals within their delivery team.

To thrive in the role, you will have:

  • Experience of working within project delivery team.
  • Visual management experience.
  • Proficient within the use of Microsoft Systems.
