Job Description

About the Role

Start here. Grow here.

We are proud to have been appointed to all three Flood Risk and Asset Management (FRAM) Lots, the first to be announced under the UK Government Commercial Agency’s Construction Professional Services 2 (CPS2) Framework.

Our collaboration deepens our 25-year partnership with the Environment Agency, delivering expert technical, environmental, commercial, and programme services across flood, coastal risk management, and infrastructure projects.

We will support the Environment Agency in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of their record investment programme, reducing flood risk while protecting communities and the environment.

We are seeking Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, with a strong history in the Water industry, to join our Infrastructure Project Management team and support the FRAM across our North, Midlands, and Scotland region (operating from eight regional offices).

With a strong growth trajectory backed by high-demand projects, this is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of professionals who deliver innovation, technical expertise, and transformational project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with Senior Project Managers/Associates to manage, coordinate, and deliver water infrastructure projects across the entire lifecycle, from inception → design → procurement → site delivery → commissioning.
  • Support and lead client-side project management, including:
    • Stakeholder and contractor engagement
    • Health and Safety (H&S), risk, quality, schedule, and contract management
    • NEC contract administration (including NEC4 PSC & ECC contracts)
  • Manage project delivery from option studies, tender documentation, procurement, and on-site execution.
  • Supply structured project reports, including Progress Evidence Packets (PEPs) and progress updates.
  • Proactively resolve disputes while maintaining scope, quality, cost, and time frameworks.
  • Lead and support project teams, ensuring adequate resources, timelines, and business alignment.
  • Build client relationships and support business development opportunities with both existing and new clients.
  • Administer NEC contracts through digital systems (e.g., contract management toolsets).
  • Advise on procurement strategies, reviewing proposals and tender documentation.
  • Mentor and support graduates, apprentices, and junior project team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
