Assistant Psychologist (13-Month Contract)
Accountable To: Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Reports To: Consultant Clinical Psychologist / Senior Behavioural Specialist
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a Psychology degree (2:1 or above).
- Be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
- Have access to own vehicle, as travel between services is required.
About the Role:
Applicants are invited for the position of Assistant Psychologist to work with service users with intellectual disabilities who present with challenging behaviour and who have a secondary diagnosis of mental illness or have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
The successful candidate will join and be part of a well-established, friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be required to routinely collect and present behavioural data, carry out observations, produce reports, conduct staff training, carry out therapy, attend clinical meetings and provide support to the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Behavioural Specialist. Regular supervision will be provided. This role will be of particular relevance to psychology graduates with an interest in future Clinical Psychology training.

Contract Details:
- Contract: Fixed-term (13 months)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm)
- Salary: £26,500 per annum
