Company Description
Plans4Rehab is a hospital and rehabilitation center providing day services and outpatient care for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), stroke, and other neurological conditions. The organization offers a seamless pathway from residential rehabilitation and care through to support in independent living accommodation or at home. Multidisciplinary teams work closely with individuals and their support networks to promote recovery, independence, and quality of life. Plans4Rehab focuses on person-centered, evidence-based interventions in a safe, supportive environment. Team members are encouraged to contribute to continuous improvement in clinical practice and service delivery.
Role Description
The Assistant Psychologist for brain injury rehabilitation will work full time on-site at Plans4Rehab in Leicester. The role involves supporting qualified psychologists and the wider multidisciplinary team in delivering psychological interventions and rehabilitation programs for individuals with ABI, stroke, and neurological conditions. - Assisting with psychological assessments
- Gathering and organizing clinical data
- Preparing session materials
- Contributing to treatment plans under supervision
- Delivering structured one-to-one and group interventions
- Monitoring progress and documenting outcomes in line with clinical governance standards
- Liaising with families and carers
- Attending case conferences
- Maintaining accurate records
- Participating in service development and audits

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with knowledge of neurological conditions and brain injury rehabilitation.
- Ability to support Psychological Assessment processes, including data collection, scoring, and reporting under supervision.
- Understanding of Counseling principles and person-centered communication when working with individuals and families.
- Basic awareness of Medicine in the context of multidisciplinary teamwork within hospital and rehabilitation settings.
- Relevant undergraduate degree in Psychology (or closely related field) that confers eligibility for graduate membership of a professional psychological body.
- Experience in clinical, health, or neurorehabilitation settings (placements, internships, or employment) is highly beneficial.
- Strong observational, documentation, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and respond calmly to complex or distressing situations.
