Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Southwark, South East London
Up to £55,000 (including travel) + Discretionary Bonus
Blayze Group are exclusively recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's fastest-growing residential developers on a landmark mixed-use development in South East London.
This is a rare opportunity to join a project at the very beginning of construction, giving you exposure to almost the entire project lifecycle. With piling currently underway and the RC frame due to commence around your start date, you'll play a key role in delivering a circa £200 million development from the early construction phase through to completion.
Working alongside an experienced commercial team, you'll gain hands-on experience in procurement, package management and commercial delivery on a major London scheme while receiving the support needed to accelerate your career.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Lead, you'll become part of an established commercial team consisting of a Commercial Lead, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, and Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Procurement of internal trade packages
- Day-to-day commercial management of subcontract packages
- Cost reporting and valuations
- Subcontract administration and payments
- Variations and change management
- Assisting with forecasting and financial reporting
- Supporting the commercial delivery of a major mixed-use development from early construction through to completion
While the major procurement packages such as RC Frame, MEP, and Façade will already be underway, you'll take ownership of the internal packages, providing excellent commercial exposure and responsibility.
About You
We're looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who wants genuine career progression rather than waiting for promises that never materialise.
