Hill McGlynn is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Romford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 1-3 years' experience who is looking to develop their career within the social housing sector.
The Role

- Voided properties
- Kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes
- Internal refurbishment works
You'll assist with cost management, valuations, subcontractor accounts, variations, and commercial reporting while gaining valuable exposure to a variety of projects.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.
- Experience working on interior social housing refurbishment projects, particularly voids and kitchen/bathroom replacement programmes.
- Knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates would be highly advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, organised, and quick to respond to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
