Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Temp to Perm)
Location: South East Region (Mobile Role: covering London, Thorney Island, and Brize Norton, Oxfordshire)
Project Values: GBP2 million : GBP12 million
Position Type: Temporary to Permanent
Rate: 200:300 (DOE) (Inside IR35)
About The Role
Are you a commercially-minded Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a dynamic role that offers genuine professional growth? We are seeking a versatile, ambitious professional to join our team on a Temp to Perm basis, working alongside a prestigious Tier 1 client.
This is a fast-paced, mobile position covering high-value projects (GBP2M:GBP12M) across our key South East bases, including London, Thorney Island, and Brize Norton. Because you won't be fixed to just one spot, we need someone with the drive to succeed and an open mindset to adapt seamlessly to changing site environments.
Mentorship and Day-to-Day Training
While you will be involved in managing a diverse range of sub-contract packages, you won't be thrown into the deep end alone. You will be paired with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS), shadowing them closely and learning the ropes every step of the way. All necessary training, guidance, and day-to-day teaching will be fully provided, making this the ultimate environment to level up your commercial skills.

What We Are Looking For
We need a self-starter with a strong commercial background who understands the fundamentals of main contracting and is eager to learn how these different packages interlink.
Essential Criteria
- Attitude and Approach: High level of drive and an open mindset—ready to listen, learn, adapt, and grab growth opportunities.
- Flexibility and Mobility: Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to your own car for daily travel between sites across the South East region.
- Main Contracting Experience: A proven track record working with a main contractor.
- Project Scope: Experience working on projects of a similar scale (GBP2M : GBP12M value).
Desirable Criteria
- MOD Experience: Prior experience working on Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites or defense infrastructure frameworks is highly preferable.
