Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Clapham (Luxury Residential Contractor)
Location: SW London (Clapham) Industry: Super Prime Luxury Construction Contract: Office based
A growing luxury residential contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team, working on high-end projects valued between £1m and £20m.
About the Role
You’ll collaborate closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) and the Director, providing support on some of the most exclusive residential schemes in the sector. There’s serious career progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, negotiation and administration of contract documentation
- Play a key role in cost planning, tendering, and commercial management
- Support the Senior QS and Director across projects, contributing to successful delivery of high-value schemes
- Track progress against budgets, identify risks, and propose solutions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in main contracting construction
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline is preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts would be beneficial
- Reliable, organised, and able to work against tight deadlines
