Department: Structured Lending
As an Assistant Relationship Director, you’ll be a critical fixture in Development Finance, partnering with senior leaders to structure innovative lending solutions while fostering industry connections and deepening expertise.Central to the role:

- Team Collaboration: Supporting senior teams to source, assess, underwrite and finalise property development loans
- Client Engagement: Liaising with brokers, attending onsite meetings as required
- Financial Compliance: Overseeing valuations, survey reports and credit recommendations
- Operation Coordination: Coordinating with Legal/Loan Support Team to ensure seamless completion
- Data Accuracy: Maintaining pristine records and ensuring timely documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Inquiry Handling: Assist senior partners in evaluating new business requests, issuing Heads of Terms where applicable
- Proposal Development: Contribute to credit proposal creation, ensuring technical robustness
- Site Visits: Attend client/meeting site visits as requested
- Asessment Support: Collaborate with Portfolio Management team and external surveyors, validating diligence & escalating findings
- Financial Integrity: Mitigate risk through synthesised analysis of complex data, ensuring loans align with responsible lending
- Documentation: Champion data optimisation andılmışive record-keeping
Ideal Qualifications
Proven proficiency in:
- UK property development finance—>2+ years relevant market-facing experience
- Writing accurate credit papers and dynamic financial analysis
- Relationship/portfolio management, with a hands-on development finance background
- Commercial acumen and adherence to responsible loan practices
- Self-motivated, adaptable team player—able to thrive independently yet collaboratively
