Assistant Restaurant Manager – Restaurant Albie at The Hoxton, Southwark

We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for our restaurant Albie—join a passionate team dedicated to delivering memorable experiences across our Food & Beverage portfolio.


What You’ll Do

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our restaurant runs like a well-oiled machine while keeping our team engaged, motivated, and proud of their work.

  • Lead with influence: Inspire your team to deliver warm, genuine, and high-quality Seabird experiences, where every guest feels valued.
  • Seamless cross-department collaboration: Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and kitchen leadership to align front-of-house with back-of-house for smooth operations.
  • Daily restaurant oversight: Assist with rostering, training, payroll, and financial administration to support the restaurant’s smooth functioning.
  • Team development: Onboard and train new hires, ensuring they understand our brand standards, food safety protocols, and service excellence requirements.
  • Culture champion: Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture through regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Guest advocacy: Be the heart of the restaurant—anticipate guest needs, handle feedback professionally, and resolve issues with care.
  • Quality assurance: Maintain stringent food and beverage presentation standards, stock control, and compliance with food safety, licensing, and operational best practices.
  • Drive improvement: Share operational insights and guest feedback with the broader F&B leadership team to refine the Seabird experience.

What We’re Looking For

A dynamic, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

✔ Experience: Previous supervisory or assistant manager background in a busy, quality-focused restaurant or bar. ✔ Front-of-house mastery: Strong understanding of service standards, guest experience, and people management. ✔ Adaptable mindset: Comfortable with rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and busy trading periods. ✔ Communication skills: Fluent in English; multi-lingual experience is a bonus. ✔ ** atticus>: ** detail-oriented yet flexible, able to manage pressure gracefully while keeping operations running smoothly. ✔ Team ethic: Someone who leads with empathy, not ego—a true team player who loves supporting others. ✔ Guest passion: A genuine love for hospitality and crafting unforgettable moments for our guests.
