Permanent, full time
37 hours per week for 39.2 weeks per year (term-time only plus 6 INSET days)

Salary:
Grade 7 (SCP 15-22) £30,024 - £33,699 per annum pro rata
Actual salary: £26,072.28 - £29,263.58 per annum

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo to join our evolving organisation.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher and SENDCo to coordinate the support provision for students with Special Educational Needs. You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating all requirements for the annual reviews of students with individual needs.
  • Gathering necessary documentation.
  • Distributing documentation to all relevant parties.
  • Attending the review meetings.
  • Ensuring completed paperwork is distributed as appropriate on completion of the review.
  • Overseeing the deployment of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), ensuring that staffing is effectively allocated to meet the needs of students.
  • Ensuring that support is delivered efficiently across the school.
  • Delivering tailored interventions, depending on candidate's area(s) of interest and expertise.
