Role Overview

This role provides an opportunity to develop experience in service management while working as part of a team to deliver the wider division’s key priorities. Planned Care covers a diverse range of services, and the post holder will support teams across several clinical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Support the service management team across a range of medical specialties.
  • Contribute to the delivery of key national and local standards, including RTT, cancer, and diagnostic waiting time targets.
  • Work with service managers and clinical leads to help ensure services are safe, efficient, and aligned with the Trust’s CARES values.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of medical staffing and on-call rotas.
  • Provide effective leadership to the team, supporting them to ensure administrative duties are completed effectively.
  • Maintain service rotas to a high standard, oversee staffing issues, and escalate to the relevant Service Managers.

About the Trust

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.

We are working in partnership with local GPs, charities, community services, academic partners, our local authority, neighbouring hospitals, and the wider North West London Integrated care system, and ensuring that we listen and work in partnership with our local population.
