About the Role

This Role Delivers
You’ll be the key financial partner to the Aintree factory’s Site Leadership Team. You’ll drive financial control, efficiency, and growth-ready decision-making while giving sites the support they need to cost-effectively thrive.
Your contributions will span:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Quarterly forecasting and budget preparation for Aintree.
- Accountability & Outcomes: Ownership of finance reporting to track variance performance and deliver actionable insights.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Engage with offshore finance teams, new product development projects, andInternal leadership to ensure sober cost management and investment visibility.
- Standard Financial Precision: Become the owner of product costing, guiding development teams and cross-functional partners to ensure financial parity.
- Enabling Success: Guide businesses to manage overheads responsibly, develop financial awareness, and spot cost inefficiencies exploring performance improvements.
- Talent Growth & Support: Lead the offshore financial team with training, mentorship, and pivotal interpersonal advice.

Your efforts will ensure compliance, process improvements, and leadership visibility.
Key Responsibilities (your FT focus)
Financial Stewardship & Compliance
- Ensure all decisions, plans, and commercial strategies anchor in solid financial analysis.
- Frontline response to statutory and Group accounting compliance; flag discrepancies and drive corrective action.
- Lead asset register controls, asset capitalisation, disposition tracking, and balance sheet reconciliation reviews.
Operational Finance Partner
- Serve as Business Partner for site Cost Centre managers, offering financial advice, mentorship, and overhead optimisation support.
- Monthly involvement in Batch budget and forecast processes—ensuring data integrity and facilitating operational agility.
Performance & Process Drives
- Lead Prime Cost and Overhead Cost analysis and prepare monthly performance reporting.
- Own capital reporting/, business case analysis, and project forecasting including monthly site leadership meetings.
Lean Efficiency & Improvement
- Investigate and drive financial process innovation in Aintree’s finance function to bolster pace and profitability.
- Oversee performance tracking aligned with site targets, demonstrating data-driven optimization for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Head up offshore manage + develop financial team, providing direct oversight,training, and guidance.
- Serve as first point of contact for key issues and take leadership where Region Finance Manager capacity demands arise—or deputise as needed.

What You Bring
Essential Requirements
- Costing experience rooted in FMCG/or manufacturing industries.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial analysis into insightful, understandable insights for business leaders.
- Exceptional accounting & planning proficiency, with consistent excellence in forecasting and action-oriented analytics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office—Excel in particular... plus ability to generate models, dashboards, or negotiated Word/PPT work effectively.
- Recently-qualified (or studying towards) a ** recognised Professional Qualification** (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience in high-video finance environments.
- Crisp communication skills—be it written reports, verbal briefings, or facilitation of cross-functional exchanges.
Desired Advantage
- Substantive Financial & Leadership experience across cost tracking, analysis, reporting, and investment (PP&E) tracking.
- Venture into (or deep understanding of) challenging business environments and narratives where leading-edge data can be compelling.
- Involvement in project-based financial setups, mentoring junior professionals laterally.
- Projection strategy with guidance on rationalising budgets, P&Ls, relocating funds.
