Our client, a leading UK residential developer, is seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join their Construction team in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager looking to further their career with a well-established housebuilder known for delivering high-quality residential developments.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the management of a busy residential development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with the Site Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations, maintain health and safety compliance, manage subcontractors and site teams, and help drive build quality throughout the development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the development.
- Provide clear direction and guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety procedures across the site.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
- Maintain excellent site presentation and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure construction activities are delivered in line with technical drawings, specifications, and build programmes.
- Monitor quality throughout the build process and ensure remedial works are completed promptly.
- Assist with NHBC key stage inspections and ensure compliance with building regulations and warranty provider requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records, including labour, materials, plant and health and safety documentation.
- Support the production of progress reports and updates for senior management.

Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager within a high-volume residential housebuilding environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and building legislation.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card, SSSTS Certificate and First Aid at Work Certificate.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- HNC/HND in Construction Management or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Scaffold Appreciation Certificate desirable.
