Assistant Store Manager

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Assistant Store Manager role is based in Greater London.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including:

  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Sales floor supervision
  • Staff scheduling
  • Driving sales performance
  • Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising
  • Monitoring inventory levels to maintain adequate stock

The role also involves:

  • Coaching and supporting team members
  • Resolving customer concerns
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive store culture
  • Monitoring store policies
  • Assisting with loss prevention measures
  • Reporting sales results and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Strong customer service orientation, with skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service
  • Effective interpersonal and Communication skills for engaging customers and supporting team members
  • Experience or demonstrated capability in Store Management, including supervising staff and overseeing daily operations
  • Awareness of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with the ability to follow and promote store security procedures
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or team lead position
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by store operations
  • Solid organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and reporting
  • Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and standard office software; additional language skills are a plus
