Assistant Store Manager
Role Description
This full-time, on-site Assistant Store Manager role is based in Greater London.
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including:
- Opening and closing procedures
- Sales floor supervision
- Staff scheduling
- Driving sales performance
- Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising
- Monitoring inventory levels to maintain adequate stock
The role also involves:
- Coaching and supporting team members
- Resolving customer concerns
- Promoting a positive, inclusive store culture
- Monitoring store policies
- Assisting with loss prevention measures
- Reporting sales results and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Qualifications

- Strong customer service orientation, with skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service
- Effective interpersonal and Communication skills for engaging customers and supporting team members
- Experience or demonstrated capability in Store Management, including supervising staff and overseeing daily operations
- Awareness of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with the ability to follow and promote store security procedures
- Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or team lead position
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by store operations
- Solid organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and reporting
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and standard office software; additional language skills are a plus
