Assistant Store Manager
Assistant Store Manager – Oliver Peoples
About the Role
Timeless design. California heritage. Considered service.
Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987, with its first boutique in West Hollywood, California. Rooted in a vintage heritage aesthetic and inspired by the culture of Los Angeles—fashion, film, art and music—the brand is known for refined design, exceptional materials, exclusive product details, and superior lens technology.
We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager who understands that true luxury is felt in the details—how a store runs, how a team performs, and how every customer experience feels thoughtful, effortless, and assured.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll support the Store Manager and lead the floor by:
- Leading by example: Delivering elevated, personalised service that reflects the brand at every touchpoint
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring standards, workflows, and presentation are consistently upheld
- Coaching and inspiring the team on the floor, reinforcing service expectations through presence, feedback, and example
- Using strong product knowledge and storytelling to support conversion, drive performance, and achieve store targets
- Overseeing store floor coverage, priorities, and busy periods, remaining calm, organised, and solution-focused
- Supporting onboarding and ongoing development to help build confidence, capability, and consistency within the team
- Building deep knowledge of brand heritage, craftsmanship, lenses, and materials, embedding this into daily selling

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
