We at Mokoko, based in the south west, and are located in the areas of Bath, Bristol and Portishead. Everything we do is made by hand each day in front of our customers. The simplest is often the most beautiful and that approach is reflected in our menu which focuses on hand made viennoiserie and naturally leavened breads.

Assistant Manager Position

We are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Manager in our Abbey Churchyard store situated in the heart of Bath. The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in the effective running of the day to day operations, including operations on the floor and administration of essential business controls. The Assistant Manager will have a full knowledge and proven track record of leading shifts which operate to the highest operational standards and successfully lead the team to achieve the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all drinks are made to documented brand standards by self and others
  • Provides and expects from others, friendly and attentive customer service
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the menu and be confident in providing customers with product detail, such as coffee blend, product description or allergen information
  • Work in a tidy, clean and efficient manner
  • Keep food displays looking full and appropriate to the time of day
  • Contribute to a positive team environment
  • To adhere to and follow expected personal hygiene regulations and health & safety policies
  • Planning and managing high volume shifts
  • Checking and booking of all deliveries including managing credits
  • Deputises for Store Manager when they are off or on holiday
  • Plan shifts ahead and communicates requirements to Head chef and service team
  • Manages labour and food controls within budget whilst on shift
  • Accurate completion of inventory stock counts & ordering
  • Completion of T&A records
