Assistant Store Manager - Vision Express Lakeside (12 month FTC)

Join one of our largest and busiest stores.

We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our Lakeside store. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader or aspiring Assistant Store Manager ready to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in leading a large team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business performance. You'll be confident managing people, understand HR processes, and know how to use KPIs to improve results.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing colleagues
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and training
  • Drive sales performance through effective KPI management
  • Support recruitment, performance management, and colleague engagement
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Maintain high standards of operational excellence and compliance
  • Run the shop floor and lead the store in the Store Manager's absence

What We're Looking For

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in retail
  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience managing performance and developing teams
  • Good understanding of HR processes
  • Commercial awareness and confidence using KPIs to drive performance
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Full flexibility, including weekends and late-night trading
