Assistant Store Manager - Vision Express Lakeside (12 month FTC)
Join one of our largest and busiest stores.
We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our Lakeside store. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced retail leader or aspiring Assistant Store Manager ready to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in leading a large team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business performance. You'll be confident managing people, understand HR processes, and know how to use KPIs to improve results.
What You'll Do
- Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing colleagues
- Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and training
- Drive sales performance through effective KPI management
- Support recruitment, performance management, and colleague engagement
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Maintain high standards of operational excellence and compliance
- Run the shop floor and lead the store in the Store Manager's absence

What We're Looking For
- Previous management or supervisory experience in retail
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Experience managing performance and developing teams
- Good understanding of HR processes
- Commercial awareness and confidence using KPIs to drive performance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Full flexibility, including weekends and late-night trading
